Birthdate: July 11th

From where and what high school: Skogn, Norway and Skogn High.

Year in college and major: Junior and Business.

Where have you been, and what have you done so far this summer? What are you going to do? I've been home in Norway since June working, trainig and spending my time with friends and family.

Favorite summer food and drink? That must be an old fashion bbq dinner and cold lemonade.

What’s your sweetest memory from the 07/08 season? Traveling with theteam, seeing new places and getting to know lots of new people.

What are youlooking forward to the most in the coming season? Traveling around like last year having a good time, but most of all redeeming myself after a poor season last year.

What is the best thing about MSU and Bozeman? I think the best thing about MSU and Bozeman is all the great people and all the possibilities outside your door step.

Your best summer song?? This summer my favorite is Kid Rock with All Summer Long.

Do you have a good summer story we should know about?
After finishing school this spring one of my friends came and visited me. Together we drove all around the west coast for three weeks. We had three amazing weeks traveling around, seeing some spectacular places, surfing, biking in Moab, camping and just having a good time.

Anders

Name: Anders Follerås
Birthdate: 02.26.86

From where and what high school: Norges Toppidrettsgymnas, Lillehammer

Year in college and major: Pretty much a senior, Political Science/International Relations

Where have you been, and what have you done so far this summer? What are you going to do? First two months back home in the land of vikings -eating whale meat and finally seeing all my buddies and family back home again. I also did one week in Germany and two weeks of coaching the future of Norwegian nordic skiing... In mid July I headed to Vermont to hang out with friends from the olden days, and also coaching juniors at Mt. Mansfield Nordic Club a few times a week. Now I've been back in Bozeman for two weeks and is about to pack up my little red pick-up and move all the stuff into the mansion on Chambers Drive...and learning how to ride my motorcycle, working on the shifting -I had it in 4th gear here the other day...big deal!

Favorite summer food and drink? Nothing beats a fresh whale burger with a glass of solbaer-saft.

What’s your sweetest memory from the 07/08 season? What are you looking forward to the most in the coming season? hmm..doing the Hermod hill 6 times our first college-race-weekend down in Soldier Hollow..or no, it has to be when we smashed all the schools in the west at Winter Park; placing 3 guys in the top10 and 3 women in top 15..good times. There'll be plenty more of those moments coming up next year

What is the best thing about MSU and Bozeman? This is the best place to be a skier (and a normal person..) in the whole US. There is no doubt in my mind. Waking up early one October morning to see the Bridgers covered in snow, turn on George Strait - How 'bout them cowgirls, go for a 2 hour run, and then at night eat ribs at Famous Daves. Heaven! This community has something no other place has. Thank you all.

Your best summer song?? The Band - Atlantic City is always good..right now Counting Crows - Come Around, and MIA - Paper Planes

Do you have a good summer story we should know about? I could go on and on about Gunnar..but I won't. Yeah, I showed the juniors in VT how to do hard intervals..the very story of the workout can be read here: http://terkoskier.blogspot.com/2008/07/moose-crossing.html It's by one of the athletes, and it includes some hazing of me, but other than that its good.. :P

Claire the Canadian

Name: Claire Rennie
Birthdate: February 18, 1985

From where and what high school: Ottawa, Canuck-land! Lisgar Collegiate Institute

Year in college and major: Senior, Biomedical Science

Where have you been, and what have you done so far this summer? What are you going to do? I was guiding and cooking at Mount Assiniboine Lodge, a backcountry lodge up in Banff. I was mostly taking people on cool hikes and fighting off grizzly bears and giant mosquitos in my spare time. I also spent some time hanging out and training in Bozeman and at home and next week I'm going on a family vacation to the east coast.

Favorite summer food and drink? Water, of course... and for food it would definitely be blueberries.

What’s your sweetest memory from the 07/08 season? Soldier Hollow 5km skate race and hilarious games of catch-phrase with the team.

What are you looking forward to the most in the coming season? Being healthy again and being part of a team that is going to kick butt at NCAAs.

What is the best thing about MSU and Bozeman? The people, the trails, the weather, the parties, the community... I could go on and on.

Your best summer song?? Wagon wheel. Nothing beats country.

Do you have a good summer story we should know about? Or another story? Well I really did almost have to fight off some grizzly bears this summer. I came within 2 meters of a bear that was running towards me one day, and I was ready to hose the guy down with bear spray but luckily he just kept going. I pretty much peed mypants.

Words from our wannabe gangstah' Ryan!

Name: Ryan Scott

Birthdate: August 5th

From: Boulder, CO

Graduated from Boulder High School

Year in college: Sophomore/Undecided

What have I done this Summer?... Attended a ripping camp in Utah with a great group of skiers. Totally motivating, training with everyone at the camp. I am just hanging in Boulder, life-guarding (aka checking out the talent that comes to sit out in the sun everyday!), and training a 'lil. Enjoying cruiser rides with 600+ people every Thursday night. I'm gonna get video so we can start something up in Bozeman, alright.

Favorite summer drink and food: Cherries/Watermelon and hmm.....lemonade?

Best memory from 07/08: Training, racing, and playing around with a hilarious group of people. The SuperTour in Bozeman was sweet, hopefully we didn't scare everyone off from Bozeman for this upcoming season. Looking forward to: An improved season in distance racing on the NCAA circuit, hopefully competing well at Nationals and at some SuperTours.

Best thing about MSU/Boze: Living in a place where no one cares what you do, and half the people don't know what "nordic skiing" is....."so wait, you ski uphill?".... Most of the people in Bozeman are pretty cool and receptive to the ski team and not totally off the deep-end.

Get to know Tyler!

Name: Tyler Wright

Birthdate: October 10, 1988

From where and what high school: Truckee High in Truckee, CA

Year in college and major: I'm somewhere in between a sophomore and junior which probly means I should be picking a major soon

Where have you been, and what have you done so far this summer? What are you going to do? I took a short trip down to San Francisco with some friends and another over towards San Diego with a bunch of my fam but other than that, there's just been lots of training

Favorite summer food and drink? You really can't beat lemonade but chocolate milk comes in a close second. For food, I would have to go with a nice tasty burrito or some In n Out

What’s your sweetest memory from the 07/08 season? Just training and racing with the team was lots of fun. Also, finishing up my last year of racing as a junior was kinda bittersweet

What are you looking forward to the most in the coming season? Putting all of my hours to some use and getting to know all of you cool people even better

What is the best thing about MSU and Bozeman? The best thing about Bozeman is definitely the location. You can do so much stuff right from campus and not spend half your time driving. The cold snow is also a super nice change from the heavy stuff we get around Tahoe

Do you have a good summer story we should know about? I went kayaking down a river for my first time a couple weeks ago without learning to rollfirst. That was pretty exciting. My buddy didn't want me to swim if i flipped so instead, i would wait for him to come over and then use his boat to get back over. waiting to be rescued as I floated upside down, completely helpless through rapids, is definitely not my favorite thing to do.
