Anders

Name: Anders Follerås
Birthdate: 02.26.86

From where and what high school: Norges Toppidrettsgymnas, Lillehammer

Year in college and major: Pretty much a senior, Political Science/International Relations

Where have you been, and what have you done so far this summer? What are you going to do? First two months back home in the land of vikings -eating whale meat and finally seeing all my buddies and family back home again. I also did one week in Germany and two weeks of coaching the future of Norwegian nordic skiing... In mid July I headed to Vermont to hang out with friends from the olden days, and also coaching juniors at Mt. Mansfield Nordic Club a few times a week. Now I've been back in Bozeman for two weeks and is about to pack up my little red pick-up and move all the stuff into the mansion on Chambers Drive...and learning how to ride my motorcycle, working on the shifting -I had it in 4th gear here the other day...big deal!

Favorite summer food and drink? Nothing beats a fresh whale burger with a glass of solbaer-saft.

What’s your sweetest memory from the 07/08 season? What are you looking forward to the most in the coming season? hmm..doing the Hermod hill 6 times our first college-race-weekend down in Soldier Hollow..or no, it has to be when we smashed all the schools in the west at Winter Park; placing 3 guys in the top10 and 3 women in top 15..good times. There'll be plenty more of those moments coming up next year

What is the best thing about MSU and Bozeman? This is the best place to be a skier (and a normal person..) in the whole US. There is no doubt in my mind. Waking up early one October morning to see the Bridgers covered in snow, turn on George Strait - How 'bout them cowgirls, go for a 2 hour run, and then at night eat ribs at Famous Daves. Heaven! This community has something no other place has. Thank you all.

Your best summer song?? The Band - Atlantic City is always good..right now Counting Crows - Come Around, and MIA - Paper Planes

Do you have a good summer story we should know about? I could go on and on about Gunnar..but I won't. Yeah, I showed the juniors in VT how to do hard intervals..the very story of the workout can be read here: http://terkoskier.blogspot.com/2008/07/moose-crossing.html It's by one of the athletes, and it includes some hazing of me, but other than that its good.. :P
