Get to know us

This is the first posting in our series of getting to know the team. The goal is that every team member will submit a little "getting to know us-interview" throughout the summer. Our blog will from now on be updated more often. You'll be able to read about what we do and what we are planning on doing, so add it to your favorites and drop by a few times a week! Feel free to leave a note to let us know that you've been here..
First out is our dear Kaelin Kiesel:

Name: Kaelin Barrie Kiesel

Birthdate: Dec 21, 1985

From where and what high school:Wood River High School (Ketchum, ID), Colorado Rocky Mountain School (Carbondale, CO), NTG (Lillehammer, Norway)
Year in college and major: Junior, Liberal Studies
Where have you been, and what have you done so far this summer? What are you going to do? This summer traveled around Idaho, and Orgeon to visit family and friends, fish, hike and relax. Then back to Bozeman for training, fishing and relaxing. August, to Mongolia for an epic 4 week adventure......

Favorite summer food and drink? coconut popsicles and lemonade, duh.
What's your sweetest memory from the 07/08 season? Getting snowed-in in Crested Butte, joining the MSU Ski Team and getting welcomed with open arms from those who are now my best friends. :)

What are you looking forward to the most in the coming season? Improving my fitness and skiing, watching my team cheer each other on to big victories, and sunny, cold classic skis at Bozeman Creek.

What is the best thing about MSU and Bozeman? The location. What could be sweeter than Bozeman, Montana? The people. The best you will find.

Do you have a good summer story we should know about?
This summer Gunnar and I went to the Livingston Rodeo right before the 4th of July. Gunnar somehow managed to pull together a legitimate western outfit, making him look like he had just stepped off the dusty trail. After the rodeo was over, the fireworks went off. The explosions right above the stands coupled with blaring patriot country songs, the company of a "true cowboy", and corn on the cob in my gut made it all the more beautiful. There has probably never been a moment where I have felt prouder to be an American.....as ridiculous as that sounds.
